Grandma & Grandpa immigrated from Germany in the 1900's, learned a new language (English), became U.S. citizens, moved many times until they settled in Little Sioux, IA. If it was not for that move in 1935, still recovering from the Great Depression and leaving the polluted smoke stacked sky's of Chicago - there would not be the farm we grew up with. Remember, hand hoeing acres of weeds in the bean fields each summer and we thought that was fun? Or, Grandpa's 50 gallon barrel boat that he would put in the Missouri with buffalo carp swimming about?
Over the years, we all have special memories of the farm. Plus, the numerous stories from our our parents, uncles and aunts.
